Symbolism of the Dragonfly in Chinese Culture

In Chinese folklore, the dragonfly, or "qingting" (蜻蜓), holds a position of deep reverence, symbolising profound concepts that gracefully resonate with the world of whiskey:

Transformation: Much like whiskey's evolution through time and the aging process in oak barrels, the dragonfly's life cycle—from aquatic nymph to airborne adult—symbolises transformation and the beauty of change.

Harmony: Chinese culture attributes the dragonfly with the power to bring harmony and good luck. Its elegant and agile flight mirrors the balanced and harmonious blending of whiskey flavours as they mature.
